Our hull production is performed to AWS / DVS (German Welding Society) procedures bringing the strictest and highest recognized thermoplastic welding standards to every build. TUFFSEA has decades of experience in the marine industry and has been keenly focused the past years advancing the utilization of HDPE hulls and expansion into the North American market and setting up production here for the long term.  

HDPE as a structural material for marine hulls was pioneered primarily by the Norwegians over 20 years ago. Since then, many regions of the world have been adopting HDPE as a material for hull construction and European classification societies have already written standards for construction.
