Why HDPE?

Why not? There are many reasons why high density polyethylene is a superior building material for small craft high speed vessel hulls up to forty-five feet or so. Durability, very low maintenance, no corrosion, no need for bottom paint, and super low friction. How about being nearly bulletproof?
